Type is a sound library featuring 226 recordings from:
- PC Keyboard (non-mechanical)
- Laptop Keyboard (Macbook Pro)
- Mac Desktop Keyboard (a few extra sounds)
- Tablet Touchscreen
Including:
- A variety of single keystrokes – great as UI buttons, too!
- Typing sentences/paragraphs
- Sliding fingers across keys – mix this subtle detail in to add realism
Does not include mouse click sounds.

10/10 collection!
used them in my first Godot project (a short visual novel)
all of my friends that play tested for me said the typing was their favorite part.
i'm sure it was because of how clean and satisfying these sounds are. definitely going to try and work them into my next game, too

The project has such a calming feel - the music fits so well and typing out scripts is a fun presentation of the narrative.

Honestly, not much more to say, it sounds exactly like what you expect, typing sounds lol.
As with all Shapeforms' other packs, the sounds are of pristine quality, and it covers almost all required use cases.
The only think if I could think of an improvement, would be to improve the categorization of files a bit more to make it easier to find textures within product categories. Not every laptop sounds the same, and it certainly sounds like more than 1 laptop keyboard was used for these sounds. (If not that, at least a change in recording setup) Some sound more like a cheap chiclet style plasticy keyboard, some sound more 'rigid'. But that's an extremely minor nitpick in an otherwise straightforward pack.
Do you have or can create one where it sounds like a pencil on paper sound?
I don't have any pencil on paper sounds at the moment unfortunately, but it's something I've wanted to record for a while – I'll keep this in mind for a future asset pack!
