For those looking for reviews, I'd rate this a 9.5/10 and definitely worth the price.

Now this pack is similarly priced to a pack I own from a movie production studio created by an artist that worked on AAA (Star Wars / Metal Gear Solid) media. But I'd say that in most cases this pack is either close to the quality of the AAA pack, rivals it or actually exceeds it. Therefore this is an easy recommend for me. It's pretty much drag & drop although you can tweak the sounds easily if desired.

One caveat: If you want deep heavy weapon sounds I do reckon you'll have to pitch down and post process a bit, this pack tends to to be a bit on the lighter side.

I've listed my findings below:

Positives:

  • Content wise, there's a gazillion sounds of all kinds, covering all kinds of categories, weapons, etc. Honestly it covers almost everything you need to make any kind of shooting game, bar callouts. (Hit sounds, kill sounds, gib sounds, a dozen weapons, etc.)
  • Battlefield Ambiances are a great addition and something I wish every sound pack had, makes it easy to create cinematic huge 'background battles'.
  • Explosions are really well done, have hefty impact. (Which happens to also solve some of my criticism of Impact sounds in the ship sound effect pack)
  • Rivaling the quality of some of the movie production sound packs I own (made by people that worked on triple A productions), but way better in terms of content and variety.
  • I think in every category I only did not like 1, max 2 sounds. Which makes this a 98-99% successful pack in my eyes.
  • Most sounds are perfect amounts of dry, making them easy to post process and suitable for nearly any environment.

(Minor!) Negatives:

  • Weapon sounds tend to be on the 'lighter' end of the caliber spectrum.
    • I wish some of the heavy weapons sounded a tad bit oomphier overall, a bit crispier, a bit closer to the mic.
    • I mainly expected some of the weapons to simply sound 1-2 calibers heavier. eg.:
      • Grenade Launcher sounds good
      • Sniper Cannon sounds like it could be a bit heavier.
      • Tormentor Shotgun sounds like it could be a bit heavier.
    • This can easily be fixed by the user though, with some post processing.
  • Reload sound effects are a bit weak, and I'd argue some other ammo related sounds in this same pack (Arm Weapon folder) make better (combined) reload sounds than some of the actual reload sounds.
    • To compare, they remind me of rifling through and flipping a row of CD-cases. I wish they sounded more like someone playing around with a stapler or metal ruler.
  • Shell ejections are alright, but I feel like I miss two things. Specifically:
    • A few more 'pure' high pitched bullet sounds. (Think coinflip)
    • A few more 'bouncy' sounds (sound of the ejected shell 'dancing' on the floor))

---

The negatives are really minor issues though, and all in all, this is another great pack by Shapeforms and an easy recommendation.

Hi ! Do  you accept orders ?
If yes,
What would be the price for 4 weapons, each having theses sounds :
- Primary fire
- load a bullet (ready to fire sound)
- reload the magazine

-Secondary Fire
-Secondary loadding big attack
-Secondary shot

And maybe after some ship sounds and more, but thoses weapons sound for a start

Hey, awesome, I just had a play! One thing I liked was the fact that the level boundaries weren't perfect circles or square shapes, felt nice and organic and suited the sci fi theme. Glad you're getting good use out of the sounds and thanks for the credit!

I finally got a chance to play your game! I enjoyed the overall style and the dash-jump move, and the music was neat too. It was cool seeing how you used the sounds from this and other packs! Nice work!

Hi !  I'm looking forward to buying this sound library, I would like to know if they are some sorts of close range weapons sounds, like science fiction blades, lasers and irons ones wit a bit of plasma onto it ?

Hey, thanks for your question! Unfortunately the library doesn't contain any close combat/melee sounds at the moment (though I'd like to add some in a future update). There are a number of sustained laser beam sounds though, and a few laser guns.

Thanks
